The Smart Guide to King of Fighters: Issue 1.

Hello everyone!

(Would you believe that was the hardest sentence to write?)

Welcome to the first edition of 'The Smart Guide to King of Fighters'. Before I dive into things I'll briefly talk about the intent of this guide.

With this bi-weekly guide I plan to deliver information about a series that I'm extremely passionate about in a manner that is both convenient and informative. A guide that will be both easy and quick to read while keeping the reader up to date on what's going on with the King of Fighters series both locally and globally. And a news source that will be shaped in part by your feedback. Although I will focus mostly on King of Fighters XIII I may occasionally touch upon previous games to let newer fans know more about the previous entries that helped formed this excellent game.

Whew, that was too wordy for my liking. Let's get into the good stuff! Read more about The Smart Guide to King of Fighters: Issue 1.

Tekken Halifax - Tekken 6 Indepth Statistics

After every ranking battles I post up a leaderboard of every player who got over a certain number of points but there is a whole slew of data that doesn't get listed. I wanted to show in greater detail the players who have played but don't get on the leaderboard & more indepth statistics for players that do. It's a great way to get a better understanding of your game. With the new ranking system where you get points even for losses then the lower players would be in a much better spot then they are right now. Have a look, I'll post some fun facts at the bottom. Tekken Halifax - Tekken 6 Leaderboard January 14th, 2012

In reflection of 2011 we had discussed amongst ourselves that the current ranking system was good but it had 2 big flaws:

- Nobody was ranking up very fast

- There wasn't enough incentive to play matches against people with larger or smaller point totals. Read more about Tekken Halifax - Tekken 6 Leaderboard January 14th, 2012

Have You Tried This One? Arcana Heart 3

We’re back from our December break, and what better way to celebrate a new year than to look back on games we might have missed in years past! This one might be a bit of a monster though, because this time we’re looking at an entry in one of the seminal anime series, the high flying Arcana Heart 3.

AH3 is the fifth entry in the Arcana Heart series. Developed by Examu, it was released in Japanese arcades in December of 2009. Arc System Works released a console port in January 2011, and later made the game available on PSN. Read more about Have You Tried This One? Arcana Heart 3
