Now that the winter break is over, biweekly meetings for Mortak Kombat Maritimes, Tekken Maritimes, and the Halifax Blazblue Association will be resuming at the Last Gamestore. The first meeting will be on January 14th at 7pm. Be sure to stop by to get some matches in, or to try out King of Fighters XIII, which will also be on hand. Tuesday night at Gamezilla Moncton is now Fighting Game Night. (TNF, Tuesday Night Fight). We will have to share the place with the Warhammer players, but I do believe the new back room is open now. I believe they only have access to Xbox at the moment but I will be bringing my PS3. This Tuesday is KoF:XIII release party. I am buying the game and I am bringing it. Just a quick note to remind you of the tournaments happening this weekend in the area.
Halifax has its big shindig happening at The Last Gamestore on Saturday, featuring BlazBlue, Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 and Super Street Fighter AE.
Saint John's has its event on Sunday at West Side Charlies, featuring the above games as well as Super Turbo and Third Strike.

I think one thing most of us in the fighting game community wrestle with this question at least once:
What role does this fighting game thing have in my life?
I first started playing Tekken Tag the idea of actually practicing to practice, learning frame data, and even travelling were over the line for me. It felt like games are game and that’s taking it way too far. Some people do have this position still and I respect that but I’ve refined my personal view over the years.
